Each destination, when clicked, will link you to the Wikitravel page for that place--a helpful tool I've discovered that can be used as a starting point for exploring tourist spots and activities. If you've been to any of these places, I'd love to hear your favorite things about each one! Or, if your curiosity leads you to follow these links and/or others, and you come across some interesting activities/sites, let me know!

I'm fairly certain this will be what my final itinerary will look like, but not all plans aren't locked in just yet. In particular, everything from Brugge to the Greek Isles is still flexible. Rome onward has been booked.

  1. I need to get used to this Blogger thing. Hence the deleted comment above.

    *SIGH*

Perhaps we should consider Lucca, near Florence. Christina and her husband Paul loved it! She wrote about glowingly about it here.

  3. You guys are going to have SO MUCH FUN! Don't miss the fries with mayo/curry sauce/etc. in Brugge, and see if there are any sales in the chocolate shops. There's also a great pub, Cambrinus, where you can drink the local brew (Brugse Zot) and eat a steak marinated in Trappist beer and served with Trappist cheese.
