Local Transportation

Knowing how to get around comfortably and affordably within each city always makes it that much easier to enjoy a place you're visiting. I've become accustomed to mastering the public transportation networks of each city in which I explore--both in the States and abroad--and I quite enjoy studying the maps til I can pass myself off as a local. I've actually given other people directions while visiting other cities!

I've included one or two useful links regarding public transportation for each city I plan to visit. Many cities are also quite walker-friendly, and a few are terrific for bicycling (Amsterdam, in particular). If you're familiar with any of these places and would like to recommend ways to get around, that would be extremely helpful!
